The clocks a tickin'!

Time is really moving now. We're in Kentucky, our adventures at Ft Carson have ended and the new year is upon us! We leave for Italy on February 22, and man-o-man is that date getting here fast! Randy has been at MP school at Ft Leonard Wood, MO, since November and we (the girls and I) have been staying with our family in KY. But come that date next month we wont even be in this country anymore!!! Randy has been stationed at Camp Ederle (or as it's said in Italian 'caserma ederle') in Vicenza Italy! You can find more information about where we are going by clicking this link: http://www.usag.vicenza.army.mil/
Most of our arrangements have already been made; we all have our passports and visa's (in order to stay in Italy for more than 90 days you must be a 'resident' ), our household goods have been shipped, we have our plane tickets and hotel accomedations for when we arrive! Randy has to ship the car yet and I have to swithc our insurance, cancel our cell phones, and get Eva her health certificate; then we will be set on this side of the ocean!
Once we get there the real challenges and adventures begin! We have to find a house, new cell phones, get a SETAF drivers license, switch over our health care, enroll the girls in CYS, and of course learn a whole new way of living "Italia style baby" (as buddy from Cake Boss would say!)
I'm really going to try to stay atop this blog stuff so that everyone back home can not only see our pictures (from facebook), but so you all can get a glimpse into what our crazy Italian life will be like!
Oh, and prepare to learn some Italian, because as I do, you will too!

Italian word of the day:     ciao       use for hello, goodbye         (I know everyone probably already knows
this word, but I'm just learning!)

  1. The next three years are going to be so exciting. You will be a very busy wife & mother. This is a great way to keep everyone up to date. Teaching us Italian is a plus. When is the new baby due?

  2. She is due April 28th, so just 9 weeks after we get to Italy. We have to get things fixed up fast!
